The Spirit of Democracy
An amazing thing happens when patriotic men and women come together to participate in elections. When they come from all over with a sincere desire to improve, and their cause is a just one, and the process is fair, at that moment we get the government we deserve.
My name is Joe Mayhew and this is my vision for Saint Johns County.

Smaller government - saves money, creates jobs, and leads to freer people. Our country was built on the idea that all men and women are born free. History has shown us that when a country creates a massive government, many freedoms begin to erode.
Lower taxes - are the key to creating jobs, innovation, and keeping the economy on track. Building a profitable business is tough. Paying high taxes makes it nearly impossible. I believe people know how to spend their own money better than the government. Keeping money in the hands of the citizens supports the local economy and avoids the billions in waste that get dolled out every year.
A diversified local economy - is absolutely essential for our future. St. Johns county needs to have a long term plan to attract and retain a diverse group of industries to the area. The county can not afford to be short sighted when it comes to the economy. We need to work hard to create a business friendly environment that encourages large companies as well as small business growth.
